At Yaden Africa, we take great care not only in selecting exceptional African craftsmanship, but also in ensuring that each piece reaches you safely and efficiently. Because our collection includes handmade products of different sizes, weights, values and countries of origin, shipping arrangements may vary by item and destination.
This policy explains where our products are shipped from, how shipping charges are calculated, expected delivery times, customs and import responsibilities, and our returns process.

Yaden Africa works with artisans, workshops, cooperatives and sourcing partners across Africa. Products may therefore be dispatched from different locations depending on the item.
Where applicable, products may be:
The shipping origin may therefore differ from the country associated with the cultural or artistic origin of a product.
Where relevant, the dispatch location will be communicated on the product page, at checkout or in the order confirmation.
If an order contains products stored in different locations, the order may arrive in more than one shipment.
Yaden Africa aims to make exceptional African craftsmanship accessible to customers internationally.
Shipping availability depends on the product, destination country, carrier availability, customs restrictions and applicable import/export regulations.
Available shipping destinations and shipping methods will normally be displayed during checkout.
Certain oversized, fragile, exceptionally valuable or restricted items may not qualify for standard international shipping. In such circumstances, we may contact you to arrange specialised delivery.
Shipping charges are calculated based on factors that may include:
Where possible, the applicable shipping charge will be displayed at checkout before payment is completed.
Because many Yaden Africa products are individually handcrafted and may have unusual dimensions, certain large sculptures, furniture pieces, oversized baskets or fragile artworks may require a custom shipping quotation.
Where a custom quotation is required, this will be communicated before the shipment is confirmed.
Orders are normally prepared for shipment after payment has been successfully authorised.
Because many of our products are handmade, individually sourced or stored with artisan partners, processing times may vary.
In-stock products will generally be prepared for dispatch within approximately 2–5 business days.
Made-to-order, personalised or specially commissioned products may require additional production time. The estimated production period will normally be indicated on the relevant product page or communicated directly to the customer.
Processing times are separate from carrier transit times.
Once an order has been dispatched, customers will receive shipping confirmation and, where available, tracking information.
Delivery times depend on the shipping origin, destination, carrier, customs clearance and shipping method selected.
As a general guide, estimated transit times after dispatch may be:
| Destination | Typical Estimated Transit Time |
|---|---|
| Senegal / Domestic delivery | 1–5 business days |
| West Africa | 3–10 business days |
| Europe / United Kingdom | 5–12 business days |
| United States / Canada | 5–15 business days |
| Middle East | 5–15 business days |
| Asia-Pacific | 7–20 business days |
| Other international destinations | 7–21 business days |
Where tracking is provided by the carrier, customers will receive a tracking number after dispatch.
Tracking information may take approximately 24–48 hours after dispatch to become active in the carrier’s system.
For orders containing multiple products, separate tracking numbers may be provided where products are shipped separately.
