TEN (10) DAYS PROGRAM

SENEGAL – MAURITANIA – GAMBIA – SENEGAL

Day 1: Arrival at Leopold Sedar Senghor airport in Dakar

Welcome assistance through customs -Transfer to your first class hotel by bus with air condition – Overnight.

Day 2 (Dakar Sightseeing – Goree Island)

8.30 am. After breakfast, Dakar city tour at the discovery of the attractive points of the Senegalese capital town – The Presidential palace – Independence square – Soweto square – Grand mosque – Decasa sand painting gallery – Kermel market.

In the afternoon, after Goree Island, see the African Rebirth Monument – the mosque of divinity at Ouakam area – Soumbedioune handicraft village.

12.00 pm. Transfer to the landing stage for a tour to the historical Goree Island Take the ferry-boat and arrive Goree Island after 20mn crossing – Visit of the slaves-house – Saint Charles Borromee church – The highest Castel point of the Island – The historical Museum – Lunch on the Island – Free tour in the nooks of the island the market.

4.15 pm. Join the pier and take the ferry boat leaving Goree Island for Dakar at 4.30 pm – Arrive Dakar after 20 mn crossing – Proceed on for Dakarsightseeing to points above mentioned in the morning – Return to your hotel – Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 (Dakar – Saint-Louis passing by Retba Pink Lake)

8.00 am. After breakfast departure for the old colonial City of Saint-Louis cross the cities of Pikine, Thiaroye, Rufisque then arrive the Retba Pink Lake – Tour of the lake on 4×4 WD, vehicules, stop at the salt-hills – Visit a typical Fulani village and the beautiful beach near by lunch at Keur Salim or Palal lodge

Continuation for Saint-Louis after the cities of Thies – Kebemer – Louga

Arrive Saint-Louis by the late afternoon – Check in at your hotel in town – Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 (Saint-Louis – Djoudj or langue de Barbarie Ornitholigical Park)

7.00 am. After breakfast, departure for the ornithological Park of Djoudj or la langue de Barbarie Park Doudj will allow to see thousand of birds-kinds meanwhile la langue de Barbarie offers a fantastic panorama at the mouthpiece of the river Senegal where some birds are also found. Both tours will be done by pirogues for about 1.45 pm – Return Saint-Louis – Lunch in a typical restaurant in town.
5.30 pm. City tour of Saint-Louis on horse drawn carriages – Ride to the fishermen district of Guet Ndar where is found a very important density of people and kids – Return to your hotel – Dinner and overnight

Day 5 (Saint-Louis – Mauritania by Diama Dam border)

6.30 am. After breakfast, departure for Mauritania through the border of Diama Dam Tour on the sand-hills of the Mauritania desert – Meet the people, share tea with them Pic-nic lunch – Enjoy the beautiful beach and swimming – Return to Saint-Louis on the late afternoon – Dinner and overnight.

Day 6 (Saint-Louis – Touba – Kaolack – Toubacouta)

6.30 am. After breakfast, departure from Saint-Louis, stop at the holy city of Touba and visit its beautiful mosque which is the most beautiful in black Africa and the biggest one – Proceed on for the city of Kaolack, Toubacouta, and small city on the Saloum delta – Visits of villages en route – Arrive Les Paletuviers lodge at Toubacouta – Dinner – Folklore – Overnight.

Day 7 (Toubacouta – Sipo Village – Plage d’Or)

7.00 am. After breakfast, departure from your hotel in pirogues to the village of Sipo where we still have a queen owner and chief of the village – Continuation for the wonderful beach of Plage d’Or – Enjoy swimming in the clear water of the Ocean – Pic-nic lunch – Back to Paletuviers lodge.
5.30 am. Take the pirogue to the birds relaxing Tree – Return to Paletuvier lodge – Dinner and overnight.

Day 8 (Toubacouta – Banjul the Gambia)

6.30 am. After breakfast, departure for the Gambia – Arrive Bara, cross the Gambian river by ferry boat – Cross the city of Banjul for your Hotel Ocean Bay, one of the most beautiful hotels in Gambia – Check in, lunch.
4.30 pm. After lunch and small rest, visit of Banjul, the Tie die shop, the market and other.

Day 9 (Banjul – Saly Resort in Senegal)

7.00 am. After breakfast, transfer to the pier, cross the Gambian river – Stop at Kaolack for lunch – Continuation for Saly resort – Arrive Savana Saly hotel by late afternoon – Farewell – Dinner, naming ceremony with folklore and dances – Overnight.

Day 10 (Saly Resort)

Breakfast before 10.00 am, day at leisure, last shoppings – Departure time from Saly depending on your flight schedule – Arrive L.S.S. airport, assistance for baggage and check in.
